New Delhi, March 27 (Commodities Control): The cotton arrival in the markets of major producing states of the country witnessed a substantial increase on Wednesday, totaling 59,200 bales. This marks a significant rise from the previous trading day's arrival of 45,600 bales.
Breaking down the arrivals by state, Punjab, Haryana, Upper, and Lower Rajasthan collectively saw the arrival of 7,000 bales. Gujarat reported arrivals of 20,000 bales, while Maharashtra also recorded 20,000 bales. In Madhya Pradesh, 3,000 bales of cotton arrived, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together saw 5,000 bales.
Additionally, Tamil Nadu reported the arrival of 200 bales, Karnataka's mandis received 4,000 bales, while Odisha reported no arrivals.
