Jaipur, 10 May (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed prices ruled steady in the major markets of the country on Friday amid slow demand and arrivals. However, mustard oil and cake prices gained the in benchmark market of Jaipur tracking fresh demand from the retailers. As per the traders, prices of mustard seed are likely to improve further tracking fresh demand for oil and cake.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned stayed steady at Rs 5450-5475 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 6 to Rs 1015-1016 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also rose Rs 6 to 1025-1026 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices gained Rs 35 to Rs 2645-2650 per quintal in Jaipur.
Prices of mustard seed were also steady in Delhi at Rs 5325-5375 per quintal. Mustard oil expeller traded flat at Rs 1010 per 10 kg in the market of the national capital.
In the market of Charkhi Dadri of Haryana, prices of mustard weed was flat at Rs 5275-5325 per quintal and mustard oil expeller traded at Rs 1000 per 10kg while cake prices stayed steady at Rs 2600 per quintal.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 4.25 lakh bags across the country, down one lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 2.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 40,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 40,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 20,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 15,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 60,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 10 down at Rs 868 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices were flat at Rs 885 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices were quoted Rs 10 higher at Rs 890 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted Rs 5 higher at Rs 825 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil traded Rs 10 higher at Rs 900 per 10 kg.
