New Delhi, May 9 (Commodities Control): The arrival of cotton in the markets of major producing states across the country on Thursday amounted to 35,600 bales, marking a decrease from the previous trading day's arrivals which stood at 38,900 bales.
Breaking down the arrivals by state, 1,400 bales were reported in Punjab and Haryana, including Upper and Lower Rajasthan. Gujarat witnessed the arrival of 8,000 bales, while Maharashtra recorded 20,000 bales. Madhya Pradesh saw the arrival of 2,000 bales, while Andhra Pradesh-Telangana collectively received 2,500 bales.
Additionally, Tamil Nadu witnessed the arrival of 200 bales, Karnataka recorded 1,500 bales, and no arrivals were reported in Odisha.
