Jaipur, 9 May (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed and cake prices were flat on Thursday while oil prices were quoted a little lower in the market of Jaipur. Other markets also witnessed a bearish tone in the prices of mustard oil despite most of the imported edible oils traded higher at Indian ports today. As per the traders, demand for mustard oil is down due to extreme heat conditions in north India and other parts of the country.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned stayed steady at Rs 5450-5475 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices dropped Re 1 to Rs 1009-1010 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also declined Re 1 to 1019-1020 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices stayed steady at Rs 2610-2615 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.25 lakh bags across the country, down one lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 50,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 55,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 20,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 75,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 10 up at Rs 883 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 895 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices were quoted Rs 10 higher at Rs 900 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted Rs 15 higher at Rs 835 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices fell Rs 20 to Rs 910 per 10 kg.
