Jaipur, 7 May (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex saw firm tone on Tuesday amid low arrivals and positive cues from the international edible oil markets. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake were quoted higher tracking firmness in the rivals oils as prices of almost all imported edible oils were firm. On the other side arrivals were of oilseed were down due to third phase of polling for Lok Sabha elections today.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned rose Rs 75 to Rs 5425-5450 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices were also gained Rs 18 to Rs 1007-1018 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices rose Rs 18 to 1017-1018 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices rose Rs 15 to Rs 2585-2590 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.25 lakh bags across the country, down one lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.25 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 45,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 55,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 5,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 70,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 10 up at Rs 873 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 895 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices were quoted Rs 15 higher at Rs 900 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted Rs 10 higher at Rs 820 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 900 per 10 kg.
