Mumbai, May 7 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is witnessing a substantial surge in arrivals, attributed to the recent increase in plant rates.

Total soybean arrivals across the nation have soared to 245,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the leading soybean producer, contributing 110,000 bags. Maharashtra closely followed with 110,000 bags, while Rajasthan reported 13,000 bags. The remaining states collectively accounted for an additional 12,000 bags in cumulative arrivals.

The fluctuating landscape of soybean prices reflects regional dynamics. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,550 to Rs 4,750 per quintal. Maharashtra observed price fluctuations between Rs 4,500 and Rs 4,725 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices ranging from Rs 4,550 to Rs 4,725 per quintal.

Plant prices for soybean also exhibited variability across regions. In Madhya Pradesh, plant prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,775 to Rs 4,875 per quintal. Maharashtra reported plant prices fluctuating between Rs 4,750 and Rs 4,850 per quintal, while in Rajasthan, plant prices ranged from Rs 4,750 to Rs 4,825 per quintal. The increase in arrivals, coupled with the fluctuating prices, underscores the impact of plant rate adjustments on the soybean market.
