Jaipur, 6 May (Commoditiescontrol) : Mustard seed and oil prices stayed steady on Monday while oil cake prices were quoted higher. As per the traders, demand for mustard seed from the stockiest and the processors is limited.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned ruled steady for the second consecutive session at Rs 5350-5375 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices were also flat at Rs 989-990 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also stayed steady at 999-1000 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 2570-2575 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.25 lakh bags across the country, up one lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 60,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 70,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 30,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 80,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 5 up at Rs 868 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices rose Rs 15 to Rs 900 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices were quoted Rs 10 higher at Rs 895 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted Rs 3 higher at Rs 815 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices fell Rs 5 to Rs 895 per 10 kg.
