Mumbai, 03 May 2024 (Commoditiescontrol): Moong prices in the selected markets moved higher on Friday due to quality arrivals combined with lower availability of summer crop arrivals. Good quality (chamki) supported prices in Jaipur, while lower arrivals in Khirkiya and Narsinghpur supported prices. However, Indore market witnessed weak prices due to higher moisture content.
Prices are likely to stay under pressure as arrivals gather pace next week. Furthermore, favourable crop conditions for summer moong will likely apply pressure. Arrivals are expected to pick-up in the next 7-8 days, and hence prices may remain under pressure.
