Mumbai, May 3 (CommoditiesControl): In Kottayam, imported clove prices maintained stability, with Comoros-origin cloves priced between Rs. 840 and Rs. 860 per kilogram, Madagascar-origin cloves ranging from Rs. 850 to Rs. 870, and Sri Lankan origin cloves priced between Rs. 850 and Rs. 880 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam have also remained steady over the past fortnight, hovering between Rs. 900 and Rs. 920 per kilogram.
The consistent influx of imports has bolstered supply levels, potentially exerting upward pressure on domestic market prices. Despite this, prices in Shimoga remained unchanged from the previous session, ranging between Rs. 920 and Rs. 940 per kilogram.
Additionally, clove stems maintained their price at Rs. 125 per kilogram in Kottayam, aligning with the rates observed in the previous session.
