Jaipur, 3 May (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed, oil and cake prices were quoted higher amid improved buying activities while arrivals were down. As per the raders, the farmers are now holding their crop and waiting for more upside movement in its prices. Demand for mustard oil is also low due to extreme high temperature in most parts of the country. However, imported edible oils were mostly quoted flat today.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned rose Rs 25 to Rs 5350-5375 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 4 to Rs 988-989 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also gained Rs 4 to 998-999 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices rose Rs 15 to Rs 2545-2550 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.5 lakh bags across the country, down 1.5 lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 55,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 65,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 30,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 75,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 5 up at Rs 878 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices stayed steady at Rs 895 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices were flat at Rs 895 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted flat at Rs 820 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices stayed steady at Rs 900 per 10 kg.
