New Delhi, May 2 (Commodities Control): The cotton markets in major producing states of the country witnessed significant arrivals on Thursday, totaling 34,150 bales, marking an increase from the 28,650 bales recorded on the previous trading day.
Breaking down the arrivals, Punjab, Haryana, Upper and Lower Rajasthan collectively received 1,550 bales. Gujarat saw arrivals of 8,000 bales, while Maharashtra recorded 18,000 bales.
Additionally, Madhya Pradesh witnessed the arrival of 1,800 bales, and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana received 2,500 bales. Tamil Nadu welcomed 300 bales, while Karnataka mandis saw the arrival of 1,500 bales. Notably, there were no arrivals recorded in Odisha.
