Ahmedabad, May 1 (CommoditiesControl): The coriander market in Gujarat is witnessing a trend of decreased arrival of new goods, leading to the arrival of old stock in the markets. Today, around 4000 sacks arrived collectively in Gondal and Rajkot Mandi. Stable coriander prices were observed due to low local and export demand.
The total arrival of coriander in the state today amounted to around 19,450 bags (1 bag = 40 kg). Prior to this, the average price of coriander remained stable at Rs 1370-1570 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, out of the 8000 sacks that arrived, 3000 sacks consisted of old goods, traded in the range of Rs 1501-1951. Similarly, in Rajkot Mandi, out of the 2500 bags arrived, 750 bags were old coriander, traded at Rs 1150-1600.
Today, coriander arrivals were recorded as follows: 800 sacks in Halvad, 800 sacks in Jetpur, 1600 sacks in Jamjodhpur, 2000 sacks in Junagadh, 400 sacks in Amreli, 850 sacks in Jamnagar, and an additional 2200-2500 sacks in other mandis.
