Mustard seed, oil & cake prices fall amid weak activities

Jaipur, 1 May (Commoditiescontrol) : Mustard seed, oil and cake prices dropped further on Saturday amid weak Activities.

Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned dropped Rs 25 to Rs 5325-5350 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.

Mustard oil expeller prices declined Rs 5 to Rs 9872-983 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also fell Rs 5 to 992-993 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 5 to Rs 2530-2535 per quintal in Jaipur.

Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.5 lakh bags across the country, down 3.5 bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 1.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 35,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 50,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 20,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 70,000 bags of mustard seed.
