Indian Soybean Arrivals Decline Amid Plant Rate Reduction

Mumbai, April 30 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is witnessing a notable decline in arrivals, a trend attributed to the reduction in plant rates across the country.

Total soybean arrivals have decreased to 190,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the leading soybean producer, contributing 80,000 bags. Maharashtra reported a substantial decline in arrivals, with 85,000 bags, while Rajasthan accounted for 13,000 bags. The remaining states collectively contributed 12,000 bags to the cumulative arrivals.



Various mandis across the country have noted variations in soybean prices, reflecting regional dynamics. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,450 to Rs 4,650 per quintal. Maharashtra observed price fluctuations, with prices hovering between Rs 4,400 and Rs 4,550 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices ranging from Rs 4,450 to Rs 4,575 per quintal.




Shifting focus to soybean plant prices, Madhya Pradesh reported prices in the range of Rs 4,650 to Rs 4,725 per quintal. Maharashtra witnessed variability, with plant prices fluctuating between Rs 4,675 and Rs 4,750 per quintal. In Rajasthan, plant prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,650 to Rs 4,700 per quintal.
