Jaipur, 27 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed prices were quoted higher in the benchmark market of Jaipur on Saturday amid increased activities compared to last session. However, mustard seed prices stayed steady in the market of national capital and adjoining markets of Haryana today. Mustard oil prices were steady in Jaipur and Charkhi Dadri but firm tone was observed in Delhi.
Cake prices were firm amid improved demand from the feed sector.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned gained Rs 25 to Rs 5400-5425 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices were flat at Rs 994-995 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also stayed steady at1004-1005 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices further gained Rs 20 to Rs 2540-2545 per quintal in Jaipur.
Prices of mustard seed stayed steady Rs 5150-5200 per quintal in the markets of Delhi. Mustard oil expeller rose Rs 5 to Rs 990 per 10 kg in the markets of national capital. In the markets of Charkhi Dadri, prices of mustard seed were steady at Rs 5125-5175 per quintal. Mustard oil expeller stayed unchanged at Rs 975 per 10kg and mustard cake prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 2475 per quintal in Charkhi Dadri.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.25 lakh bags across the country, up 1.25 lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 60,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 60,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 35,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 20,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 90,000 bags of mustard seed.
