Mumbai, April 23 (CommoditiesControl): Clove prices maintained stability across the markets. In Kottayam, imported clove prices showed steady trend, with Comoros-origin cloves trading between Rs. 840 to Rs. 860 per kilogram, Madagascar-origin cloves fetching prices ranging from Rs. 850 to Rs. 870 per kilogram, and Sri Lankan cloves priced at Rs. 850 to Rs. 880 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam remained unwavering over the past 7-8 sessions, hovering within the range of Rs. 880 to Rs. 900 per kilogram.

The stability in Kottayam's domestic market is attributed to consistent trading patterns despite the influence of higher import volumes, which typically augment supply levels and, consequently, impact local market prices.

Similarly, in Shimoga, clove prices held steady, matching the figures from the previous session, with prices ranging between Rs. 900 and Rs. 920 per kilogram. Furthermore, the pricing of clove stems in Kottayam remained unchanged at Rs. 125 per kilogram, in line with the rates observed in the preceding trading session.
