Mumbai, 23 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Major Kabuli chana (chickpea) mandis were closed today in observance of Hanuman Jayanti. This religious holiday resulted in a reduced arrival of approximately 10,000 quintals of Kabuli chana in Madhya Pradesh mandis.

Despite the holiday-related disruptions, container prices for Kabuli chana remained stable throughout the day, with trading activity described as slow.

Industry experts anticipate Kabuli chana prices to stay within a predictable range in the near term. Demand and supply are currently well-balanced, and this stability is likely to persist until the start of the domestic festival season at the end of August.
