Mumbai, April 23 (CommoditiesControl): On the occassion of Hanuman Jayanti, trading activity came to a standstill in Guna and Kumbhraj mandis today. However, despite the holiday closure, Baran and Kota witnessed a modest arrival of 4,000 bags.
In the commodities market, the Dhaniya (coriander) contract for May delivery exhibited notable movement, settling at Rs 7,568 per quintal. This marked an increase of Rs 90 over the previous close of Rs 7,478 per quintal.
Dhaniya contract for MAY delivery settled at Rs 7568/quintal showing an rise of Rs 90 over previous close of Rs 7478/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7488-7776 for the day. Open interest decreased by -525 MT to 24805 MT, while trading volume increased by 1585 to 3925 MT.
Dhaniya contract for JUN delivery settled at Rs 7656/quintal showing an rise of Rs 70 over previous close of Rs 7586/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 7630-7852 for the day. Open interest increased by 2340 MT to 2350 MT, while trading volume increased by 1080 to 1080 MT.
Currently The spread between MAY and JUN contract is -88 Rs/quintal.
