Jaipur, 23 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex saw firm ton on Tuesday amid increased demand but weak arrivals. Firmness in the international vegetable oil markets also supported buying sentiment today. Prices of mustard seed and oil were quoted higher in the benchmark market of Jaipur and elsewhere but cake prices were down today.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned rose Rs 25 to Rs 5,375-5400 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 9 to Rs 1001-1002 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also rose Rs 9 to 1011-1012 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 30 to Rs 2515-2520 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.25 lakh bags across the country, down 75,000 bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.75 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 60,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 60,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 35,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 20,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 75,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 5 higher at Rs 898 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 935 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 935 per 10 kg. Degum prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 855 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were steady at Rs 930 per 10 kg.
