Mumbai, April 19 (CommoditiesControl): In Kottayam, imported clove prices have maintained stability, with Comoros-origin clove trading between Rs. 840 to Rs. 860 per kilogram, Madagascar-origin between Rs. 850 to Rs. 870, and Sri Lankan-origin between Rs. 850 to Rs. 880 per kilogram.
Similarly, domestic clove prices in Kottayam have stabilized at Rs. 880-900 per kilogram after experiencing a decline in the previous 2-3 sessions. The influx of higher import volumes has increased supply, impacting domestic market prices.
In Shimoga, clove prices remain unchanged from the previous session, ranging between Rs. 900 and Rs. 920 per kilogram. Additionally, the price of clove stems in Kottayam remains consistent at Rs. 125 per kilogram, aligning with prices observed in the previous session.
Overall, the stability in clove prices across Kottayam and Shimoga suggests a balanced market environment, with both imported and domestic prices maintaining firmness amid supply trends.
