New Delhi, April 18 (Commodities Control): The arrival of cotton in the markets of major producing states of the country witnessed a notable surge on Thursday, totaling 40,300 bales, compared to 17,900 bales on the previous trading day.
Of the total arrivals, 4,400 bales arrived in Upper and Lower Rajasthan along with Punjab and Haryana. 14,000 bales arrived in Gujarat, 14,000 bales in Maharashtra, 2,500 bales in Madhya Pradesh and 3,100 bales in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana. Apart from this, 300 bales arrived in Tamil Nadu, 2,000 bales in Karnataka mandis and 0 bales in Odisha.
