Jaipur, 16 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex saw bearish mood on Tuesday due to lacklustre demand. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake dropped tracking weakness in the international edible oil market, a trade said. The processors and the stockiest were also reluctant to increase their stock position in anticipation of more fall in the prices of oilseed, he added.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were flat at Rs 5,400-5425 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices fell Rs 10 to Rs 1004-1005 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also dropped Rs 10 to 1014-1015 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices declined Rs 25 to Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 7 lakh bags across the country, down 1.5 lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 75,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 75,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 50,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 75,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 5 higher at Rs 938 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices stayed steady at Rs 960 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 950 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted Rs 5 down at Rs 870 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were steady at Rs 950 per 10 kg.
