Jaipur, 12 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex witnessed bearish mood on Friday tracking weak cues from the global edible oil markets. Prices of mustard oil dropped sharply as prices of imported edible oils quoted lower at Indian ports today. The processors and stockiest were also reluctant to increase their stock positions.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned dropped Rs 25 to Rs 5,375-5400 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices declined Rs 10 to Rs 1010-1011 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also fell Rs 10 to 1020-1021 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 15 to Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 8.5 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4.7lakh bags in Rajasthan, 85,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 95,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 65000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 35,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around one lakh bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices fell Rs 5 to Rs 938 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices dropped Rs 10 to Rs 960 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices declined Rs 10 to Rs 950 per 10 kg. Degum prices fell Rs 10 to Rs 875 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted Rs 10 down at Rs 940 per 10 kg.
