Mumbai, April 12 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is witnessing a notable decline in arrivals, attributed to a rise in plant rates.
Total soybean arrivals across the country have reached 280,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the leading soybean producer, contributing 125,000 bags. Maharashtra reported a substantial arrival of 125,000 bags, while Rajasthan reported 15,000 bags. The remaining states collectively accounted for an additional 15,000 bags in cumulative arrivals.
Various mandis have witnessed price variations, reflecting regional dynamics. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,600 to Rs 4,800 per quintal. Maharashtra observed price fluctuations, hovering between Rs 4,600 and Rs 4,800 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices ranging from Rs 4,600 to Rs 4,775 per quintal.
Soybean plant prices also showed variability. Madhya Pradesh reported prices in the range of Rs 4,850 to Rs 4,925 per quintal. In Maharashtra, plant prices fluctuated between Rs 4,800 and Rs 4,900 per quintal, while in Rajasthan, prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,850 to Rs 4,900 per quintal.
