New Delhi, April 6 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices remained stable in Karnataka on Saturday due to limited demand from spinning mills, while consistent daily arrivals noted.
According to traders, cotton prices stabilized due to limited purchases from the state's spinning mills. However, traders are not in much of a bearish mood as most of the mills in the state have less outstanding stock of cotton and CCI is selling the cotton at higher prices. However, only limited quantity of outstanding stock of Kapas is left with the farmers in the state. Along with Kapas, cottonseed prices became stable in the state.
On Saturday, the arrival of Kapas in the mandis of the state was 3,000 bales, one bale of which was 170 kg, while the arrival on the previous trading day was the same number of bales.
