New Delhi, April 6 (Commoditiescontrol): In Lower Rajasthan, the cotton market experienced a standstill on Saturday, as ginning mills held back from selling at reduced prices. Meanwhile, daily Kapas arrivals remained steady in the state's mandis.
Market participants have noted that cotton prices in Lower Rajasthan have been subdued for the past couple of days. Ginning mills, finding the current price levels unprofitable, have scaled back their sales, leading to a stable market activity. Despite this slowdown, experts anticipate that the local demand for cotton yarn will persist through the consumption season, although the spinning mills currently report lower than usual cotton stocks. Meanwhile, Kapas and cottonseed prices hold steady in the state.
Today's Kapas arrivals in Lower Rajasthan's mandis were reported at 700 bales, each weighing 170 kg, matching the volume seen on the previous trading day.
