Jaipur, 30 March (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex continued to see firmer tone on Saturday amid improved demand. The processor and the stockiest were seen interested to increase their stock position. At the same time, arrivals were down. The govt agencies are buying mustard seed at MSP, therefore, farmers are seen reluctant to liquidate their stocks in the market at the rates below MSP.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned rose Rs 25 to Rs 5,500-5525 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 6 to Rs 1040-1041 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also rose Rs 6 to 1030-1031 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices gained Rs 20 to Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.5 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 55000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 60000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 55000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 20,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 60000 bags of mustard seed.
