Cotton Prices Hold Steady in Lower Rajasthan as Spinning Mills Limit Demand

New Delhi, March 30 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices continued to show stable trend for the third consecutive day in Lower Rajasthan on Saturday, largely influenced by limited demand from spinning mills. Concurrently, the daily arrival of Kapas in the state's mandis remained stable.

Traders highlighted that spinning mills in the region are exercising caution in their cotton procurement, acquiring only what is necessary, thereby maintaining stability in spot market prices. With the March closing phase underway, the local demand for cotton yarn appears subdued.

However, prospects for increased export deals in April are anticipated, which could potentially boost demand. Notably, farmers in the state have depleted their outstanding stocks of Kapas, while ginners are hesitant to sell cotton at reduced prices. This dynamic suggests a potential improvement in cotton demand in the upcoming month. Additionally, alongside Kapas, cottonseed prices also remained stable in the state.

The arrival of Kapas in Lower Rajasthan's mandis today stood at 1,000 bales, with each bale weighing 170 kg, matching the figures from the previous trading day.
