Major Producing States Receive 48,600 Bales of Cotton

New Delhi, March 29 (Commodities Control): The arrival of cotton in the markets of major producing states of the country on Friday was 48,600 bales, whereas the arrival on the previous trading day was 67,300 bales.

Of the total arrivals, Punjab and Haryana along with Upper and Lower Rajasthan accounted for 6,500 bales. The arrival of 20,000 bales was recorded in Gujarat, 15,000 bales in Maharashtra, 3,000 bales in Madhya Pradesh and 0 bales in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana. Apart from this, 100 bales arrived in Tamil Nadu, 4,000 bales in Karnataka mandis and 0 bales in Odisha.
