Cotton Prices Remain Unchanged in Karnataka; Daily Arrivals Hold Steady

New Delhi, March 29 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices in Karnataka's markets remained unchanged for the seventh consecutive trading day on Friday, attributed to limited demand from spinning mills, while daily arrivals of Kapas also stabilized across state mandis.

Traders highlight the prevailing weak local demand for cotton yarn due to March's end, coupled with spinning mills' cautious procurement practices aligned with their immediate requirements. Consequently, cotton prices have sustained stability in the spot market throughout the week. Experts anticipate a further reduction in daily Kapas arrivals in the state, particularly as mills hold limited outstanding cotton stock. This sets the stage for increased cotton procurement by mills in April. In tandem with Kapas, cottonseed prices also maintained stability in the state.

Friday witnessed the arrival of 4,000 bales of Kapas in the state's mandis, with each bale weighing 170 kg, matching the figures from the previous trading day.
