Jaipur, 19 March (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex further witnessed bearish mood on Tuesday amid slow demand and supplies. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake declined for a third straight session as supply of oilseed increased.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned fell Rs 75 to Rs 5,400-5525 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices dropped Rs 14 to Rs 1020-1021 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also declined Rs 14 to 1030-1031 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 10 to Rs 2485-2490 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 16 lakh bags across the country, up 50,000 bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 8.25 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 2 lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 2 lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, one lakh bags in Punjab and Haryana and 75,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 2 lakh bags of mustard seed.
