Mumbai, 14 Mar 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Moong prices remained largely stable in major production and consumption centers today. However, Rajasthan's markets saw an increase of Rs 100-200 per quintal, attributed to superior quality arrivals. This upward trend is likely to continue due to robust demand.
In the near term, moong prices should stay firm, driven by ongoing festivals and seasonal demand. Summer sowing requirements will further bolster prices. However, the impending rabi harvest in late March and potential government selling of reserves may temper significant price surges.
