Mumbai, March 04 (Commodities Control): Cardamom prices in major markets are reported to have stabilized after rising for three to four sessions. According to reports, export demand has been strong over the last 2-3 sessions, resulting in a slight price increase.
The average price per kilogram fell from Rs 1,519-1,530 in the previous session to Rs 1,418-1,453 this time. The maximum price per kilogram decreased from Rs 2,100 to Rs 2,083. The average price has risen above Rs 1,500 per kg after falling over the previous 7-8 sessions due to increased demand.
According to reports, grade-specific rates have remained consistent. Prices for 7 mm grades range from Rs 1,520 to Rs 1,600 per kg; Rs 1,650 to Rs 1,740 per kg for grades 7-8 mm; and Rs 1,980 to Rs 2,050 per kg for grades 8 mm and higher.
Arrivals rose from 95,965 kg to 150,410 kg the previous session. The total offtake was reported at 146,100 kg, up from 92,557 kg the previous session due to lower arrival numbers. Demand was reported to be strong, with a daily offtake rate of 97.2%, up from 96.4%.
