Mumbai, March 01 (Commodities Control): Small cardamom prices in major markets have maintained stability after experiencing a rise in the past three to four sessions. The reports suggest that strong export demand in the last 2-3 sessions contributed to a slight increase in prices.
Price Details:
- The average price per kilogram increased from Rs 1,519-1,530 to the same range.
- The maximum price per kilogram rose from Rs 1,975 to Rs 2,100.
- The average price has crossed Rs 1,500 per kg after declining in the previous 7-8 sessions.
Grade-Specific Rates:
- 7 mm grades: Rs 1,520 to Rs 1,600 per kg
- Grades 7-8 mm: Rs 1,650 to Rs 1,740 per kg
- Grades 8 mm and higher: Rs 1,980 to Rs 2,050 per kg
Arrivals and Offtake:
- Arrivals dropped to 95,965 kg from 116,257 kg in the previous session.
- Total offtake was reported at 92,557 kg, down from 114,678 kg in the previous session due to lower arrivals.
- Demand remained strong, with a daily offtake rate of 96.4%.
The stability in prices is attributed to increased demand, particularly from the export market, contributing to a positive sentiment in the small cardamom market.
