Mumbai, February 22 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is witnessing a notable decrease in arrivals, attributed to stagnant plant rates across key producing regions.

Total soybean arrivals nationwide have dwindled to 280,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the primary soybean-producing state, contributing 125,000 bags. Maharashtra reported a significant arrival of 125,000 bags, while Rajasthan contributed 15,000 bags. The collective contribution from other states stood at 15,000 bags.

Market dynamics have led to varied soybean prices across different mandis. In Madhya Pradesh, prices ranged from Rs 4,400 to Rs 4,600 per quintal. Maharashtra witnessed fluctuations within the range of Rs 4,400 to Rs 4,600 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices between Rs 4,400 and Rs 4,550 per quintal.

Plant prices for soybean also exhibited disparities across regions. In Madhya Pradesh, plant rates were reported between Rs 4,600 and Rs 4,700 per quintal. Maharashtra experienced variability with rates oscillating between Rs 4,600 and Rs 4,750 per quintal. Similarly, in Rajasthan, plant prices ranged from Rs 4,600 to Rs 4,650 per quintal.

The static nature of plant rates amidst reduced arrivals underscores potential challenges for soybean producers and traders in navigating market conditions.
