Ahmedabad, February 17 (CommoditiesControl): Saurashtra is witnessing a continuous increase in the arrival of coriander, yet the market maintains a stable atmosphere. The current arrival consists largely of moist goods, and Stockists has not yet entered into the market. Today's market showed limited activity, partly due to the closure of the futures market.
Traders report that the export trade is currently sluggish, and business in the southern regions has not yet commenced, leading to a mixed market trend. The coming week may see the arrival of 50,000 to 70,000 bags, with a possibility of an increase in dry goods.
In today's market, around 38,000 bags of coriander arrived in the state, with each bag weighing 40 kg. This included around 4,700 bags of old coriander. Prices for new coriander remained stable at Rs 1,100-1,600 per 20 kg, while old coriander was priced at Rs 1,250-1,400 per 20 kg.
Traders provided insights into specific mandis in the region. In Gondal Mandi, out of the 18,000 bags arrival, prices ranged from Rs 1,476-1,976. In Rajkot, against the arrival of 5,000 bags, prices were Rs 1,100-1,700. In Jetpur, 1,800 sacks were reported, and in Jamjodhpur, 2,600 sacks arrived. Additionally, 1,000 sacks each were noted in Junagadh and Amreli, 300 sacks in Jamnagar, and 3,500-4,000 sacks in the other mandis.
