Mumbai, February 16 (CommoditiesControl): Domestic cloves prices maintained stability in key markets, with Kottayam reporting prices in the range of Rs. 870 to Rs. 880 per kilogram for Comoros, Rs. 880 to Rs. 900 for Madagascar, and Rs. 890 to Rs. 920 per kilogram for Sri Lanka origin cloves.
Domestic cloves in Kottayam were quoted between Rs. 1,010 and Rs. 1,030 per kg, unchanged from the previous session. In Shimoga, the price ranged between Rs. 1,020 and Rs. 1,040 per kilogram. Additionally, clove stems were reported at Rs. 170 per kilogram in Kottayam, remaining unchanged from the previous session.
Both domestic and imported cloves have experienced stable prices in major markets in Kerala and Tamil Nadu for the past three months. Despite a decrease in production in major cultivating countries like Indonesia, clove prices have shown resilience in both domestic and international markets.
