Jaipur (Commodities Control) - Coriander crop arrivals are picking pace in manis of Rajastan, Gujarat and Madhya pRadsh. The new crop has a moisture content of 12-14%, due to which it is priced at Rs 5000 - 5500 per Quintal. Prices are weighed upon by new coriander arrivals in Uttar Pradesh as well.
Demand from South Indian spice millers is under wait-and-watch mode in mandis of Rajasthan. Meanwhile prices of the new crop will be decided by the quantity and quality of the newly arrived crop
Amidst all, cold quality declined the most under liquidation pressure. Kota and Ramganj mandis witnessed price fall of Rs 50 per Quintal at the auction on Wednesday. Even Eagle and Badami varieties crumbled, by Rs 50-70 per Quintal, under the weight of rising arrivals.
Ramganj mandi of Rajasthan witnessed arrivals of 5,200 bags, Kota mandi--2,500 bags, Baran mandi--1,700 bags and Jaipur mandi--1,500 bags.
