NEW DELHI (Commodities control) Cotton prices steadied today in Gujarat markets as yarn millers and exporters were cautiously buying the fibre. It is second day when the prices remained stable. Total arrival estimated to 38,000 bales (170 kg each). There was no change in arrival as well. Weather was clear in major parts of the state.
ICE March cotton closed with mild gain while July contract remained stable. It indicates minor improvedment in international cotton prices in the days to come. As per reports, Cotton production is likely to lower 350,000 bales. Carry over stock may also come down. As per USDA’s weekly report, exports and domestic sale may pick up.
