Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Cotton prices collapsed for the second consecutive session by Rs 200 per Candy, due to weak mill and stockists’ demand in Andhra and Telangana mandis today, amid higher daily arrivals. According to the traders, millers are unwilling to buy due to weaker price cues from the global cotton benchmark.
Traders confirm that most of the producing regions are witnessing clear skies and better weather conditions. Telangana witnessed cotton arrivals of 35,000 baes vs 33,000 bales in the last session, while Andhra registered arrivals of 15,000 bales vs 7,000 bales in the previous session.
