Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Rajasthan Cotton prices were quoted steady-to-dull due to weak demand from private yarn millers and reduced arrivals. The fibre was priced Rs 200-300 per Candy lower on Thursday.
Traders note that domestic yarn millers are purchasing less due to dull global cotton cues and also for the fact they made robust purchases during November. Rebound on ICE cotton futures will aid price rise in Indian cotton as well. Meanwhile, favourable weather conditions have been witnessed in major producing belts of the state. Rebound in international cotton prices will aid price rise in domestic cotton.
Meanwhile, market arrivals were reported at 8,000 bales vs 9,000 bales in the last session.
