M.P. Cotton Rises Amid Purchases in 29 MM

Mumbai (commodities control) - M.P. cotton prices moved higher by Rs 100 on scattered buying by local mills. Although most of the other varieties were reported steady.

State reported increased arrivals of 500 bales.kapas was quoted at Rs 4000-4500 and cottonseed was priced at Rs 2250-2300 a Quintal. Cottonseed cake traded in the range of Rs 2000-2200 per Quintal. 29 mm cotton was quoted at Rs 33,100-33,300 and 28-28.5MM was priced at Rs 29,000-29,500/candy. DCH 34-35 MM was quoted at Rs 53,000-54,000/candy. Traders reveal that mill demand has been Witnessed wrt the quality. Some mills are reportedly making purcahse in superior quality fibre. Although there's a scarcity of such varieties in the market at the moment, thus sellers are unwilling to lower prices. ICE cotton prices have upped more than 2%this week and touched 4 months' high.
