Cotton Prices Steady In Lower Rajasthan

Mumbai (commodities control) - cotton prices were reported steady in Lower Rajasthan amid dull trading session.

Meanwhile Lower Rajasthan reported arrivals of 400 bales. Kapas was quoted at Rs 4700-5000/ quintal. Marwad line 28-29.5 mm cotton was quoted at Rs 32,400-33,300 and Mewad line 27-28 mm variety was priced at Rs 31,500-32,500/candy. While Alwar Line 29-29.5 mm cotton was quoted at Rs 33,500-33,400/candy. 29.5MM cotton in Pilani was quoted at Rs 3540-3550/maund. Traders reveal that millers' demand has slipped, as they are operating with reduced capacities. Prices were, although, stable amid declining arrivals and sellers are not willing to lower prices now. ICE cotton prices have upped 2% and touched 4 months' high.
