Cotton Prices Collapse Rs 200 In Lower Rajasthan

Mumbai (Commodities Control) – Cotton prices collapse in Lower Rajasthan on lower demand and weak cues from other domestic mandis. Cotton prices dipped Rs 200/candy amid rising arrivals in the region.

Kapas was quoted at Rs 5000-5450 and cottonseed was priced at Rs 2700-2800/Quintal. Cottonseed cake traded at Rs 2600-2700/Quintal.

28-29.5 mm cotton in Marwad was quoted at Rs 32,000-33,000 and 29-29.5 mm in Alwar was priced at Rs 32,400-33,400/Candy. While 29.5 mm cotton in Pilani was quoted at Rs 3510-3520/maund.

According to the traders, there are currently no buyers at prevailing rates, which is pressurizing the prices furthermore.
