Turmeric : Futures Settle Higher, Spot Unchanged

Mumbai (Commodities Control) – The yellow spice on futures platform managed to ends higher on short covering, while turmeric was generally stable in spot markets amid weak demand.

No trade was reported in Nizamabad due to lockdown.

Erode registered 3000 bags of turmeric today. Prices were more or less steady in Erode, Sangli and Nanded as well.
June contract of NCDEX upped Rs 74 and settled at Rs 5410/Quintal.

According to the traders, farmers are holding heavy stocks, while demand continues to be dull.
