MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Burma Urad slipped by Rs 50-100/100Kg during early session, at Mumbai pulses market, on Tuesday, due to lack of buying support amid liquidity crunch. Sellers were active in the market at existing rates.

Moreover, demand and sale counter in Urad dal and Urad gota variety reported negligible participation at prevailing rates.

Market is observing caution in ready trade at prevailing rates, tracking weak prices in forward deals in Chennai, new domestic arrivals in Andhra Pradesh and upcoming fresh supply from overseas at Chennai.

Meanwhile, Jaipur High Court postponed the hearing on pulses import restriction till March 6, 2020. The hearing is regarding non-issuance of Customs clearance to containers of urad imported against the stay order.

Meanwhile Jaipur High Court has given an option to the importers/DGFT to take their case to the Supreme Court.DGFT has moved Supreme Court. Importers had filed cases in various High Courts for stay orders. DGFT has requested High Courts to transfer all cases to Supreme Court, so can hearing can be at one place. If Supreme Court admits case for hearing, then it will be more time to wait for decision.
