Spot Sugar Closes Marginally Up In Brazil

NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) – The prices of sugar ended a tad up the in spot markets of Brazil, the world’s largest sugar grower and exporter, in the last session.


On Monday, crystal sugar at Sao Paulo market closed at BRL 89.26 (US$27.94)/ bag of 50 Kg, marginally up by 0.08 percent, against BRL 89.19 (US$27.68)/ bag of 50 Kg in the last trading session on Friday.


Prices fell by 0.71 percent compared to the previous Monday, on January 02, when crystal sugar settled at BRL 89.90 (US$27.37)/ bag of 50 kg.
In other Brazilian North-Northeast spot market crystal sugar closed flat at BRL 94.44/ bag 50 Kg.
