NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Cotton planting reached 47.91 lakh ha as of June 29 compared to same period last year at 30.60 lakh ha.
There were some error spotted on the report uploaded by the ministry of agriculture and were rectified by the data collated by our team .
*Gujarat sowing figures were not updated from previous week at 4.96 lakh ha however 6.77 lakh ha has been covered as per the latest figures of the State Agriculture Department hence revising total area covered at 47.91 lakh ha from 46.09 lakh ha . (Full Report)
*2016/17 total sowing figures for all states were not updated from previous week at 19.07 lakh ha which is revised to 30.60 lakh ha as of June 29. (Full Report)
*Normal Area of the Corresponding week was not updated from week ended June 23 at 34.03 lakh ha and due to lack of historical data, we haven’t updated the figures for the week ended June 29.
Following data is the state wise cotton acreage report as on June 29. The weekly report is compiled by Directorate of Cotton Development, Nagpur and released by Ministry of Agriculture, India.
