Mumbai, May 25 (CommoditiesControl) – Castor prices in Gujarat remained stable due to consistent arrivals exceeding 100,000 bags, primarily driven by farmers releasing their stored stocks into the market. Traders anticipate limited downside risks for castor prices in the near future, with stockists holding back inventory in anticipation of potential price increases.
Approximately 110,000 bags (1 bag = 35 kg) arrived in the market, with around 85,000 bags from Gujarat, 15,000 bags from Rajasthan, and 10,000 bags directly traded with mills. Castor prices ranged from Rs 1,095 to Rs 1,110 per 20 kg.
Mill prices remained largely unchanged due to the closure of the futures market. Jagana Shippers held steady at Rs 1,145, N.K. at Rs 1,150, and Kandla at Rs 1,125-1,140 per 20 kg. Kandla delivery castor oil prices were also stable at Rs 1,145-1,147 per 10 kg.
