Mumbai, May 02 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is witnessing a notable decrease in arrivals, with the primary factor being stagnant plant rates.
The total soybean arrivals nationwide have amounted to 220,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the foremost soybean producer, contributing 100,000 bags. Maharashtra recorded a significant arrival of 100,000 bags, while Rajasthan reported 10,000 bags. The remaining states collectively accounted for an additional 10,000 bags in cumulative arrivals.
Across various mandis, soybean prices have shown regional disparities. In Madhya Pradesh, prices ranged from Rs 4,400 to Rs 4,600 per quintal. Maharashtra observed fluctuations, with prices hovering between Rs 4,400 and Rs 4,600 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices ranging from Rs 4,400 to Rs 4,600 per quintal.
Shifting focus to soybean plant prices, Madhya Pradesh reported rates in the range of Rs 4,625 to Rs 4,725 per quintal. Maharashtra displayed variability, with plant prices fluctuating between Rs 4,650 and Rs 4,750 per quintal. Meanwhile, in Rajasthan, plant prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,650 to Rs 4,700 per quintal.
The unchanged plant rates amidst declining arrivals pose challenges for stakeholders in the soybean market, signaling a need for potential adjustments to ensure market stability and sustainability.
